Cacao Ceremony with Dream Seed: A Shamanic Sound Journey - Album Fundraiser

  • Golden Drum 97 Green Street Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Cacao is an ancient medicine used by the Maya and other American peoples for purification and connecting to the heart. In this musical Cacao Ceremony, led by the members of Dream Seed, we will provide an authentic ritual cacao drink, made from pure cacao. Then we will embark on a 2-hour shamanic sound journey in seated meditation to help bring peace and healing to our hearts and minds. All proceeds from this event will go towards the recording of Dream Seed’s forthcoming studio album.

Dream Seed is a shamanic sound ensemble created by members of Golden Drum, Sacred Arts Research Foundation, Pink Sun and Didge Project. Shamanic chanting, mantras, overtone singing, Native American songs, indigenous music, didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, bells, gongs, harmoniums, tuning forks and other overtone-emitting instruments are used to create an environment conducive to deep relaxation and inward investigation. Participants are led through guided meditations and sound healing practices designed to harmonize body, mind and spirit.

Cost: $35
