The Yogic concept of the subtle body is akin to an interwoven landscape containing the emotional, mental, energetic and subtle aspects of ourselves. It is an unseen influence that deeply impacts our life choices, livelihood, health, relationships, and happiness. Not having an understanding of one’s own subtle body is to be completely in the dark when it comes to activating empowerment, intuition, and manifestation in our lives.

When the subtle body becomes disturbed it can lead to depression, imbalance, and even disease. When we work to understand the inner workings of this mysterious body, we can initiate practices that connect to the root of our being, helping us to achieve a greater state of lasting health and happiness.

This class will offer a variety of practices and methods to help us understand and map the emotional and energetic centers of our bodies. We will use the chakra system to guide and inspire our practices and will include aspects of yoga beyond asana, such as:

  • Pranayama
  • Mantra and Kirtan
  • Astrology
  • Intention Setting, Prayer, Ceremony
  • Meditation
  • Svadyaya (self-study)
  • Chakras
  • Nadis
  • Cleansing Practices

What to Expect:

  • Yoga Asana Styles: Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative and Yin
  • 45-60 minutes of asana postures
  • 30-45 minutes of practices beyond asana, including discussion and lecture
  • Dress to move comfortably
  • Bring a Journal and Pen

This class is great for open level practitioners ( students who have a solid understanding of the basic yoga postures and can keep themselves safe) looking to expand their awareness and practice of subtle body yoga and expansion of higher consciousness.

Price: $25/drop-in
