The Sufis say that the door to the heart is always open. The Beloved is always near to you, nearer than your jugular vein. We cannot run from Love. It will follow us, reminding us of our humanness, our true essence.
In this 2 hour class we will explore the core practices of Sufism, including chanting of Divine Names, meditation practice and Sema or Sufi turning practice.

Sema- The turning practice is not a dance, but rather an embodied prayer that increases body awareness, clears energetic blockages, moves through resistance and fear and connects us to our innate knowing. Children turn spontaneously for a reason, it is a primal movement as ancient as the progression of the stars around the sun.
