We are fortunate to live in a time and a city that celebrates unity among so many beautiful cultures of the world. We give our heart felt thanks to the teachers & leaders in all traditions whose life long efforts for world peace pave the pathway for future generations. They have done so much & still there is much to do. The world needs you. The time to walk towards peace is now.

Please join us for a special celebration filled with music, art & lectures in commemoration of the centennial birthday of the Maestre Dr. Serge Raynaud de la Ferriere. We honor his message and contributions for World Peace.

Maestro Manuel Rufino

Maestro Manuel Rufino is a recognized elder in the Taino tradition and World Director of M.A.I.S.C. He is a spiritual guide, gifted ceremonial leader and teacher of sacred initiatic traditions of the world. Maestro Manuel is also an artist, certified iridologist, naturo-therapist, vegetarian chef & the visionary guiding the Golden Drum community and many vegetarian restaurants including Jungle Café in Brooklyn. Guided by his teacher, Maestro Domingo Dias Porta, Maestro Manuel has been following the trails of indigenous healing arts for over 40 years. Maestro Manuel travels around the world with his wife Aneta sharing initiatic traditions, leading workshops, lectures, sweat lodges and healing rituals.

In 2010 Maestro Manuel and a number of his students opened Golden Drum as a space for sacred traditions in New York City. Founded to give voice to the worldview of Native Americans, indigenous peoples and the esoteric schools, Golden Drum features living representatives and students of these great traditions.

Itzhak Beery

Itzhak Beery, the author of The Gift of Shamanism, bridges the indigenous shamanic traditions his teachers entrusted in him with a contemporary shamanic approach relevant to our modern life.

Born in Israel he is a New York-based practitioner who conducts shamanic healing ceremonies, and teaches seminars internationally and co-lead trips to Ecuador and Brazil's Amazon.

Itzhak apprenticed intensively and initiated by don Jose Joaquin Diaz Pineda an Ecuadorian Quechua Yachak from Iluman, into his family tradition and into the Sacred 24 Yachaks Circle of Imbabura. He was also was initiated by Shoré a North Amazonian Pagé in Brazil. He studied with and assisted Ipupiara Makunaiman a Brazilian Amazonian Pagé from the Uru-eu-wau-wau tribe for 12 years until his passing and with his wife Cliecha, Peruvian Curandera and also with other indigenous and contemporary elders and shamans from around the world.

He is a member of the NY Open Center faculty. He is a co-founder of the NY Shamanic Circle (NYSC)in 1997. He is a member of the Society of Shamanic Practitioners (SSP), The Foundations for Shamanic Studies. (FSS). He publishes www.shamanportal.org the most comprehensive global shamanic resource website today.

Itzhak's work has been featured in a variety of worldwide publications including the NY Times, radio and video interviews and he is often invited to speak on panel discussions, press conferences and festivals and to host and participate in Shamanic Webinars.

He was featured in the feature film "The Hindenburg Omen" and Parashakti's "Dance of Liberation" documentary. He is also the featured shaman in the upcoming TV show "Soul Search."

Itzhak also developed and facilitates a special program geared to high school students, called The Bridge.

Mariola Zaremba

A sparkling light that radiates from within, it’s hard not to notice Mariola from afar. As a successful real estate broker developer for 15 years, she has established multiple, sophisticated brand new high-end condominium projects.

Her current project, Awakening New York, is an extension of Mariola’s own journey of personal transformation. In addition to her Master’s Degree in Special Education (earned from the College of Special Education in Warsaw, Poland), she is also a New York State Licensed esthetician. In 2010 Mariola completed a teacher’s training in Yoga Haven (Tuckahoe, New York) and is now a certified yoga instructor. Mariola’s mission is to help change the world for the better by helping people focus on personal growth and awareness to peace and a healthy environment. She is performing energetic hand on therapy - Aura and Chakra cleansing, Reiki and Chakra Therapy.

Amanda Capobianco

Amanda has taught yoga and sacred mantra immersions for over a decade. She is a drummer, a singer, an energy healer, a reverend and a writer. She has traveled with her work to India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and California. She is currently a board member for The Sacred Arts Research Foundation, The Yoga Director for Golden Drum's Yoga for the Aquarian Age and Founder of health and healing concierge service Brooklyn Light.

Amanda is honored to carry knowledge as a healer, community leader and visionary along the path of the awakened. She currently extends these gifts in service to the preservation and expansion of sacred arts programing, community health and global harmony. 

Amanda is a dedicated disciple of Maestro Manuel Rufino for which she owes eternal gratitude for the peace, knowledge and beauty she now carries within her heart and mind.
