Dream Seed is a sound healing ensemble created by members of Golden Drum, Sacred Arts Research Foundation, and Didge Project. Shamanic chanting, mantras, overtone singing, Native American songs, indigenous music, didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, bells, gongs, harmoniums, tuning forks and other overtone-emitting instruments are used to create an environment conducive to deep relaxation and inward investigation.

The astrological new year is upon us! Aries season marks the beginning of the astrological calendar with the energy of the spring equinox. This is a time of tending to the soil and preparing to plant the seeds for the year.

Welcoming back special guest and traditional Djembe player, Abdoul Doumbia of Mali. We will continue to focus on connecting to rhythm and to the traditional medicine of the Djembe and other drums. These classes are for all levels of players, there is an abundance of knowledge being shared and regardless of your experience, this is a special and rare opportunity to learn from a master.

Dive deep into the elemental healing expression of sound. This course will guide participants on how to structure a sound bath in relation to the medicine wheel and the four elements: air, fire water, and earth. Our intention is to teach sound practitioners how to create a ceremonial sound journey that draws upon the invocation of the elemental forces, weaving sonic expression into a cohesive narrative, guiding listeners towards a state of peace and harmony. We draw upon teachings passed directly to us by elders from various indigenous traditions, whose healing practices are focused on sound and music. We will also explore constructing a ceremonial four elements altar for healing work. This is a great course to understand the mythology of sound in ceremony and how modern day practitioners can work with these teachings in their own work.

This Pisces season we connect with the energy of the Full Moon in Virgo. A special time of connecting to how we balance the principles of science (Virgo) and spirituality (Pisces) in our lives. Under the Virgo moon we may become very analytical of our emotions, giving us the opportunity to see why we react to things rather than being ruled by our reactions.  This full moon gives us the opportunity to examine our beliefs, and realign with our spiritual truths.

In this Anahata Sessions healing night, participants will receive individual hands-on healing and sonic acupuncture through a deep 1-hour-long Gong meditation, bringing us into resonance with our Universal essence. Swimming through the cosmic waters of Pisces, we open to the super portal of the Full Moon in Virgo early next week. This is a powerful moment for visioning, innovation, and renewal. We will close the meditation with a collective integration, allowing what has surfaced to gently land. Together, we weave a moment of nourishment for the heart and mind—strengthening ourselves for the changes ahead and welcoming the visions and innovations seeking expression through us this year.

We will explore the complex and creative expressions of world percussion in accompaniment with drums, group singing, chanting, vocalization, and dance.

In this online class, you will get the opportunity to learn about the key elements of Irish singing from both the sean nós and traditional folk style. You will be introduced to a few songs as Gaeilge (in Irish) with some notes about the stories within the songs, the history of them as well as translations and phonetics. No experience required!

As a part of Golden Drum’s 15 year anniversary celebrations, we welcome Doña Leova, a healer and community leader from the Nahuatl Indian Tradition of Mexico.

Together we will cultivate the consciousness of joy, love, gratitude, dignity and peace in ourselves to radiate throughout the world.

This Aquarius Season we align with the energy of innovation. Aquarius is an air sign yet it is symbolized by the water-bearer. The water-bear pours down to all the wisdom, knowledge, and visions to elevate the collective consciousness. With the moon in opposition to the sun at this time in the sign of Leo, we reflect on how we as individuals show up in the collective. This is a time to focus on cultivating our authenticity, creative self-expression, and releasing old patterns to embrace your unique role within the larger community. 

Across many wisdom traditions, there is a shared belief that humanity’s origins arise in the Pleiades. On this day, the Pleiades conjunct the Moon, offering a window into benevolent cosmic energies that support collective healing and awakening. We will gather in a sacred movement practice to embody and connect with our shared prayer for peace. We will close the dance practice with a Pleiadian Lightwork collective meditation accompanied by live sound.

Kevin’s approach to teaching is an experiential, collaborative, and group experience where participants will literally be feeling, moving, and singing the rhythms they are learning -- the class is a ritual in itself.
