This November 14th and 15th we celebrate 15 years since the Golden Drum first opened its doors to New York. Born from a community vision that was guided by our elder, Maestro Manuel Rufino, we gathered collectively to create an oasis where indigenous elders and their wisdom can unite together. The Golden Drum has become a place devoted to the honoring and preservation of Amerikua wisdom and all sacred traditions of humanity. 

For the past 5,478 days, we have served our community by gathering some of the most extraordinary hearts and minds of our time, providing programming to uplift culture, nature, families and neighborhoods. We’ve hosted elders, leaders, teachers and visionaries spanning nations, countries and continents to acknowledge the integrity, beauty and contributions offered by the sacred traditions of humanity and to celebrate unity in diversity. 

We’ve met and made friends from the four corners of the earth as the mission of Golden Drum and Maestro Manuel Rufino guided the Golden Drum community across borders and territories to learn from and share with tribes, nations, and traditions globally. 

We have proudly welcomed over 10,000 individuals to our event space, hosting lectures, music, educational programs, healing sessions, art exhibitions, and practices designed to awaken consciousness. We love our center, our neighborhood, NYC, and the work we do. Now, we want to take a moment to celebrate you for being a vital part of this miraculous, magnificent, and transformative journey. Together, we recognize that our work is just beginning, and the best is yet to come.
