Dream Seed is a sound healing ensemble created by members of Golden Drum, a sacred arts and cultural center in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and the Sacred Arts Research Foundation and Didge Project. Through shamanic chanting, mantra, overtone singing, indigenous music traditions, and sacred sound practices, Dream Seed creates immersive sound healing journeys using didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, gongs, bells, harmoniums, tuning forks, and other overtone-rich instruments. These vibrational experiences support deep relaxation, meditation, inner exploration, and connection through the healing power of sound.
In the Wixárika tradition, healing and cleansing ceremonies are done for the soul and the spirit. Using prayer tools such as candles, feathers, sacred words, incense and the elements, “limpias” (cleanings) are performed with the help of the ancestors to bless a person’s life and path.

The shamanic drum is used to communicate with the Spirit and to connect our hearts with the heartbeat of the Earth. It is a powerful medicine that heals the body, heart, mind, and spirit.
In this workshop, Maestro Manuel Rufino, spiritual leader, elder, and the visionary founder of the Golden Drum brings us together in a sacred space to create our own ceremonial hand drums and learn a frame hand drum-tying technique.
Come and harmonize with your ancestors, heal old relationships and make peace with the ones that came before us. Our annual Day of the Ancestors ceremony is an opportunity to forget, forgive, and let go. In this workshop Raquy will teach you how to play the darbuka (aka dumbek), the Middle Easter goblet drum. You will learn the basic techniques, some middle easter rhythms and solo phrases. You will also to accompany some traditional melodies played by Raquy on the Kamancha.
