Intro to Indian Rhythm with Ehren Hanson

This workshop is open to everyone! No prior knowledge of Indian rhythm or tabla is necessary. Participants will dive into the world of North Indian Rhythm using our hands, our voices, our minds, and an optional instrument of our choice. This 90 minute class is a great way to take your understanding of Indian Music to the next level. Listening to tabla and Indian music will never be the same!

Ehren Hanson

Ehren Hanson a disciple by the great Pandit Anindo Chatterjee, began learning tabla at age 15 under Misha Masud of New York City and in the year 2000 he came to India to undergo intense training with Mr. Chatterjee. In 2005 he received the prestigious “Senior Performing Arts Fellowship” from the American Institute of Indian Studies and has since gone on to perform in festivals and concerts in India, Europe, and America, and is currently living in New York City where he works as a professional tabla player, founder of tech startup Viewcy.com, and director of the Anindo Chatterjee School of Tabla.
