Guided by the Stars and Blessed by the Earth: Women's Teachings from the Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) and The Spirit of the Rose

  • Golden Drum 97 Green St. G1 Brooklyn, NY, 11222 Unites States of America (map)

As long as humans have been in existence, women have been coming together to connect, to share wisdom, and to encourage one another to live more vivaciously, more harmoniously and more lovingly.

This week’s Prayer Carriers class will be led by Kawennontie from the Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) nation, who will share teachings on how the stars, Grandmother Moon, and Mother Earth guide women in understanding womanhood. FreeDom Flowers, owner of Mama Flowers Healing Art Sanctuary, will also join to guide participants in connecting with the Heart of the Earth and the Spirit of the Rose, a symbol of self-trust, self-love, and the divine feminine.

Prayer Carriers is a call to re-ignite this sacred ritual, bringing together women from all walks of life to share, to pray, to dream, and to find the healing prayers and actions that guide us all towards a more natural existence.

All proceeds from this class will benefit the Golden Drum Renovation Project.
